Gabe Landeskog, Colorado Avalanche captain and Stanley Cup champion, is stepping in front of the camera in a deeply personal new docuseries produced by Denver-local production company Fresh Tape Media. The five part docuseries, titled "A Clean Sheet," follows Gabe as he navigates anxiety, recovery, and the realities of being sidelined from the sport that defined him. Through intimate followcam footage—partially shot by Gabe himself via the “Daddy Cam”—viewers witness both the physical and mental challenges of his journey and the unwavering support of his wife, Melissa. The docuseries is entirely scored using fellow Denver icon Nathaniel Rateliff’s songs. As for why Gabe began this documentary journey, “An osteoallochrondrograft with a tibial tuberostomy, not a lot of people are going through necessarily the exact same surgery and the rehab. But anybody that’s going through something, you can relate to other people going through a tough time, whatever it might be, emotionally, physically, whatever it might be. I just want people to know that they’re not alone.” The series takes viewers behind the scenes of his injury that’s plagued him for nearly three seasons, inside the inner-workings of his mind through his journal entries, and the struggle to define his identity beyond hockey. The docuseries offers fans an unprecedented look at a hockey icon in transition, blending raw vulnerability with optimism, lighting the path forward for other athletes struggling through injury.
