After one call with Tyson, we both knew that this conversation around painful nostalgia was extremely important to have in a world so saturated with "sensationalism" in our movies and media. We wanted to challenge the summer blockbuster type project with something quite completely the opposite. The vulnerability shared by Tyson in our interview is unmatched, and real. This was just days after losing my grandma which I believe added so much to my drive and motivation to get this message across. To bury myself in the theme of remembering how incredible she was. Lucas Cardoso and Tyson Motsenbocker's commitment to making a space for these kind of conversations opened up a special moment for me and Tyson to connect in our interview and put forth the product we have now. Definitely one of my favorite projects I've directed and cut.
